About us
Why This Work Exists
For more than 20 years, Tonya Kuhl has worked inside the healthcare system, leading teams, building processes, and ensuring patients could access care when they needed it most.
But what she witnessed over and over again changed her.
She saw families forced to make life-altering decisions in crisis, without understanding their options.
She saw delays in goals-of-care conversations that should have happened earlier.
She saw patients sent back to the hospital when a different path could have honored their wishes more fully.
She saw good people—clinicians, leaders, caregivers—working in systems that were not always designed to support the right outcome at the right time.
And she saw the cost of that.
Not just in dollars or metrics, but in stress, confusion, suffering, and missed opportunities for dignity and peace.
Those moments weren’t isolated.
They were patterns.
And once you see that clearly, you can’t unsee it.
Right Time Care Partners was built because those experiences demanded something better.

Our Purpose
We exist to ensure that patients and families are not left navigating serious illness alone or too late.
We believe:
-
Conversations about goals of care should happen earlier, not in crisis
-
Care decisions should be informed, aligned, and patient-centered
-
Transitions between care settings should be seamless, not fragmented
-
Healthcare systems should support clarity, not confusion
This is not just about reducing hospitalizations.
This is about changing the experience of care.

Meet Tonya Kuhl
Founder, Right Time Care Partners
Tonya Kuhl is a respected healthcare leader and patient advocate with over two decades of experience in hospice, care coordination, and healthcare operations.
She has led large, multi-disciplinary teams across complex care environments, most recently overseeing patient access, triage, admissions, and care coordination for a multi-region organization. In this role, she was responsible for ensuring timely, high-quality care for thousands of patients while leading more than 150 staff across multiple service lines.
Tonya is known for bringing clarity to complexity, aligning clinical teams, operational processes, and patient needs in high-stakes situations. Her leadership is grounded in accountability, compassion, and a deep understanding of how systems impact real people.
But her work is not just operational, it is deeply personal.
She has stood in the space where families are overwhelmed, where decisions feel impossible, and where the system moves faster than understanding. She has seen what happens when conversations come too late, and what it costs.
That is why she built Right Time Care Partners.
Tonya earned her MBA in Healthcare Management from Baldwin Wallace University, where she focused on strategy and innovation in care delivery. She is also a Board Certified Patient Advocate (BCPA), reflecting her deep commitment to patient-centered care.
Our Commitment
We are not here to add complexity.
We are here to bring clarity.
We are not here to replace providers.
We are here to align them.
We are not here to delay decisions.
We are here to ensure they happen at the right time, with the right information.
Our Mission
To ensure every patient receives the right care, at the right time, supported by clarity, compassion, and informed decision-making.
